MMXM Sell Model
Also: Market Maker Sell Model · MMSM
Definition
The ICT Market Maker Sell Model (MMXM) is the bearish full-cycle distribution model: original consolidation above support, Judas rally that sweeps buyside liquidity, smart money reversal lower, low risk sell (LRS) entry, then markdown into sellside liquidity. It is the macro expression of accumulation-manipulation-distribution from the seller's side.
Key characteristics
- Original consolidation builds near a high
- Buyside sweep / stop run above old highs fuels the reversal
- Smart money reversal prints with displacement lower
- Low risk sell delivered on retracement into bearish PD array
- Distribution leg targets sellside pools
- Daily / weekly horizon — not a scalping pattern
How to use
With bearish HTF bias, identify the consolidation, wait for buyside sweep, demand displacement lower. Sell the first retracement into the nearest bearish PD array above equilibrium. Target old lows / sellside pools.
Common mistakes
- Shorting the consolidation before the buyside raid
- Treating every buyside sweep as a sell model — bias first, pattern second
- Exiting too early before reaching external range liquidity
