MMXM Buy Model
Also: Market Maker Buy Model · MMBM
Definition
The ICT Market Maker Buy Model (MMXM) is a complete market cycle where smart money accumulates long positions through original consolidation, engineers a Judas swing to sweep sellside liquidity, reverses via smart money reversal, then distributes price higher to buyside targets. It is the bullish counterpart to the sell model — a full accumulation-manipulation-distribution cycle on a larger frame.
Key characteristics
- Original consolidation (accumulation zone) forms first
- Smart money reversal (SMR) occurs after sweep of sellside
- Low risk buy (LRB) entry delivered after SMR
- Distribution leg expands price to buyside liquidity / premium targets
- Typically plays out over daily or weekly horizons
- Mirrors [[Power of 3 (AMD)]] logic on a larger fractal
How to use
When HTF bias is bullish, wait for original consolidation to print, sellside sweep below, then confirmation via displacement. Enter on LRB retracement into the nearest bullish PD array (order block, FVG, breaker). Target the next buyside pool.
Common mistakes
- Buying the consolidation before the sellside sweep
- Entering without displacement confirming SMR
- Fighting the model when HTF bias is bearish
